Cactus Cine is a group of filmmakers who, from a very young age, traveled the world with their short films at important festivals (Berlin, Havana, Montreal, Rome) and managed to turn their obsession into a job by creating a company that develops projects that move them deeply from their content and aesthetic proposal.

A genuine interest for the narrative, a great deal of experience in working with actors and a constant concern for representationhas given him a style of remarkable originality. Warmth and intimacy always seem to prevail amongst his characters even while crossing borders between documentaries and fiction. This standard is present throughout all of Cactus' films and is one of the trademarks which has taken our Production House to the Greatest Movie Festivals of the World.

Through fiction he investigated the power of short story where he soon earned international acclaim. With feature documentaries he developed a devotional respect for the Art of Montage and has since returned to directing where he has managed to portray different world cultures with extraordinary sensitivity. This has distinguished Cactus Cine from other production companies as one with solid experience in both Documentary Film and Television.

His musical knowledge, added to a vast experience in almost every audiovisual department, has led him to develop a rhythmic conception of cinematographic narration which he has magnificently applied to his Directing, Editing, and Screenwriting. In recent years, his music has provided Cactus Cine productions with a clear dynamic musical watermark which has made our productions recognizable by virtue of their visual and narrative power.

Thanks to an exquisite artistic treatment of the image and a sophisticated enjoyment for optical illusions he has managed to acquire a great technical and narrative ability for animation in all of its forms. In addition, he has specialized in the study of new technologies, formats and video work flow which he then has combined with different software to create unique productions. With Agu’s help we recently launched the Animation and Postproduction Department at Cactus Cine where he has not only excelled as a 2D and 3D Animator but also as a Director, Cinematographer and Colorist.
