The Downfall of Human Memory - DEMO
Directed by: Alejandro Fernandez Moujan
Produced by: Nicolas Carreras
Companies: Cactus Cine - Fertile Cinema
From his workshop in La Boca, the Argentine sculptor Ricardo Longhini sets off to the Lebanese south with a strong purpose of carrying out in situ an homage to the Qana people
In 2018 he goes back to the Lebanese south, this time with a strong purpose to build a piece in the Qana village in homage to the victims of the attacks.
In that region struck by heavy conflicts and tension, we follow the action of an artist who takes sides and shows support with his presence and his work.
Ricardo goes to meet the settlers and we are introduced into Qana’s every-day life.
Protagonists and spectators at the same time, they are invited to participate in the homage monument which Longhini wants to leave behind for the people of Qana.
WHAT’S THE PURPOSE OF THIS ACT? DOES IT GENERATE THAT BONDING WHICH RICARDO IS LOOKING FOR WITH HIS WORK? HOW CLOSE OR HOW FAR IS QANA FROM LA BOCA?
